Week 2 Task
During the tutorial, Mr. Fauzi shared to us a video about a guide on creating the collage.

As for practical, we were told to start creating the collage. I used materials from the magazine and printed some pictures I found on the internet.
I decided to choose PRE-COMPOSITION #2 for my physical collage project.

FEEDBACK
Mr. Fauzi said, "Nice one Reagan! I would like to suggest you to choose the COMPOSITION #2 for the submission later. Keep up the good work!". Thus, I chose COMPOSITION #2 for my collage project and will keep on doing good works.
REFLECTIONS
For this weeks module, the lecture wasn't really confusing and it was clear for me. As for creating the collage, I had a great time on creating it even though creating the idea for the compositions wasn't really that easy but it was pretty challenging and pretty fun for me and I enjoyed it to the fullest.

LECTURES
For this week's lecture, Mr. Fauzi introduced us about composition.
Introduction to Basic Composition
The basic composition consists of:- Focal point
- Scale and hierarchy
- Balancing the elements
- White space
A key element to any good composition is a strong focal point. This will help the viewers in deciding which part to look at first. Besides that, the use of scales can help communicate hierarchy by drawing attention toward and away from certain elements, thus signifying their importance to communication. To have good composition, we must have a good technique for mastering asymmetrical balance. Try to think of each element as having a
'weight' to it. Lastly, the use of white space or "empty space" can balance up the main focus of a composition. White space can help boost your design's clarity and overall look by balancing out the more complicated and busy parts of your composition with space that helps your design to breathe.
Rule of Thirds
The rule of thirds is the process of dividing an image into thirds by using two horizontal and vertical lines. The imaginary grid yields nine parts with
four intersection points. Rule of Thirds
The rule of thirds is a way to:
- Use composition techniques that are in line with what is naturally pleasing to the eye
- Creatively use negative space
- Create conversation between the subject and background
Golden Ratio
The golden ratio is a mathematical ratio. It is commonly found in nature, and when used in a design, it fosters organic and natural-looking compositions that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Fig. 1.3 Golden ratio
The golden ratio boils down to aesthetics which is used to create and appreciate a sense of beauty through harmony and proportion. Golden ratio can create a sense of artistry when it is applied to a design. The golden ratio is also can be used as a guideline for determining dimensions of the layout. A simple way to apply the golden ratio is to set your dimensions to 1:1.618
