LECTURES

In the sixth week in this module, Mr. Fauzi started the lesson with a lecture and he presented a topic about poster design execution. This presentation is to help us on the next project which is poster design.

For our poster design, there are several things we need to do:
  • Research about our topic
  • Define the concept
  • Start to develop our design projects
The progress for our project will be updated on the seventh week.

INSTRUCTIONS

During practical, Mr. Fauzi sent us a presentation and a video for a task we are gonna do this week. This week's task is to recolor a black and white picture. We are needed to use the Photoshop software to carry on this task.

I followed on the instructions given from the presentation and video tutorial and came up with this:

Continuing from last week, I had to make some changes to my summary after getting feedback from Mr. Fauzi

Summary

Intro: During the pandemic, a lot of things have happened that affect people’s daily life. It either affects people’s work or even their mental health. Some people have been used to the pandemic, but some aren’t. Many people have been struggling with their mental health as the pandemic goes on. The effect on social distancing can cause loneliness, stress and anxiety as they feel isolated from everyone.
Paragraph 1: Stress has been a common thing that people face. Young people to old people will experience stress. Stress can cause a serious mental health problem. The effect of stress can also worsen your chronic health problems. Stress can cause difficulty in concentrating / making decisions, difficulty in sleeping/having nightmares, and can increase the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other substances. Stress is a natural thing that people face, but there are many ways people can manage with stress.
Paragraph 2: Stress can be coped by doing healthy things. To avoid having stress during social distancing we can always connect with others so that we won’t feel isolated / lonely. Other way to cope with stress is so take care of our body. Try on doing exercise regularly, get plenty of sleep, and try to eat on healthy and well balanced foods. Another way is to avoid the media and stop listening or looking through the news about pandemic which may upset yourself. Lastly, try on avoiding alcohol, tobacco, and other substances.
Summary: Pandemic can affect people’s health problems and mostly people have been experiencing stress throughout this pandemic. By doing social distancing, we can still cope with stress. Separating with others doesn’t mean that you can’t connect with them, we can always try to communicate with them. Also having stress doesn’t make you helpless, don’t act helpless, there’s always a way out.

FEEDBACK

For my poster, Mr. Fauzi said that I need to show positivity thus he recommends I pick poster 3 as the reference for my poster. Poster 2 is already showing negativity and people can become more stressed. He also said that I can insert pictures of doing exercise, eating healthy food, and sleeping on the title. He asked me to fill in the key points so that they can be clearer. Mr. Fauzi said that I need to emphasize what is next, I need to put on the summary on what to overcome from there.

REFLECTIONS

This week's exercise is quite easy compared to the other exercises that require us to think more of an idea. I would say this task is also straightforward and not complex.
