Week 6
No class this week.
Week 7
On week 7, Mr. Vinod reviewed our key artwork and gave feedback to us in class. After finishing the feedback session, he gave us a brief explanation of what we had to do on the next task and gave examples of them.
Week 8
No class this week.
Week 9
For week 9, Mr. Vinod gave feedback to the whole class and proceed on explaining about the next task.
INSTRUCTIONS
Task 2A: Key Artwork
In this task, we are required to create a logo but is also an artwork. As a logo, it is used to identify an event/person but it is also used as artwork, adorned on a poster (collateral) or disassembled into constituent shapes to form vibrant patterns that continue to maintain its visual identity and relationship with the key artwork from which it is derived from.
We can use the initial letters of our name or our full name for this task. Explore and compose as many as many permutations and combinations of these initials.
So I first created some sketches.

Task 2B: Collateral
For this task, we are tasked to design a poster, an animated invite and 1 collateral items of our choosing by using the key artwork we developed in task 2A.
After finishing my poster, I then start to create the animated invite in After Effects.
Upon finishing animating, I then proceed to the final task which is the collateral.

FEEDBACK
Week 7
General Feedback: When making a logo, positive and negative spaces must be balanced.
Specific Feedback: Mr. Vinod says that one of my designs looks promising but there seems to be an issue with the R portion. Do more exploration or keep expanding to see where it takes you.
Week 9
General Feedback: Do research so that you can expand your knowledge so that you can put letterforms in an interesting composition
REFLECTIONS
Experience
Doing this task is quite fun as I was doodling all I can to try to make my logo. Even though it's fun, I find it quite challenging to create the logo that I want to use for my final key artwork. It took me some time to doodle out everything and think about them. As for the poster design, I looked up to the previous lecture about typographic systems which helped me a lot in making my poster so that I have a key in mind on how should I put the texts in my poster. The animation was also pretty hard to do but ended up somewhat satisfied with my product.
Observation
I observed that great use of typographic systems can really help enhance a poster which can be very useful to attract the audience.
Findings
I found out that typographic systems are very important to be kept in mind as it helps make posters look greater.
