INSTRUCTIONS

Polishing and Dynamic Posture with Props

On this task, we are required to finally polish our character, clean up, and retouch our sculpture accordingly with an appealing posture that represents the character's personality clearly. Character to have props that will further support the character's persona and adds a visual narrative of its nature. Sculpture should stand on a platform and be re-topped or add digital painting tools. Below are the required breakdown list:

  1. Collective shots rendered to show components in details
  2. Final render to be polished and presented on a portrait-sized image. Printable high res.
  3. Final poster with appealing layout
  4. Baked texture sheet
  5. Projection to low-poly model
  6. Character turntable
So I first make the weapons for my characters which include a sword and a shield. I first made a blockout out of it and added details. Then I added the colors and merged them together.

After finishing the weapons, I then proceed to the character posing with the props.

For the pose, I made him pose an alert pose where he rises his left hand for the sword and leans towards the front for the shield. I made changes to the finger so that it looks like he's holding the weapons.

REFLECTIONS

On this final task, I did things too fast since I didn't have much time left until the submission. I was also struggling a lot during the process of making the pose. I had problems with it and it took me a long time too on figuring out what I had to do. Overall, this task might be the most frustrating one since I can't do the pose well.
