INSTRUCTIONS

3D Character Sculpting

For this task, we are told to sculpt our character. I chose my Tengu to sculpt in ZBrush. I used an existing body for the work.

Fig. 1.1 Body block out

After finishing the block out, I head next to design the weapon and some parts of the body. I also added a few details to the abdomen part.

Afterward, I finally touched the head part and added the eyes and nose. I completed the whole-body outfit and props. Upon finishing it, I colored them accordingly to my previous project.

Fig. 1.3 Progress

After finishing this, I added the final part which is the hairs. I made the hair strands one by one and also not forgetting to use the mirror and weld property which helps a lot to make it faster. I tried to make the hair curvy so it looked a bit more natural. I also added another finishing touch for the details on the body parts and also the outfits.

FEEDBACK

Week 12
Block the props, make the attached props first.

Week 13
Amend the legs and move to the final!

REFLECTIONS

This project was challenging, but I still have a little grasp on how to use the software. I had to rewatch tutorials in YouTube to remember again on how the system works. Since I understand the system a little bit better than last semester, I did this quite fast. It was quite challenging at first but then I kind of got the hang of it. I hope I get to do more practices in the future so I can improve better next time.
