LECTURES

This week is consultation week so there was no lectures/presentation given. Mr. Fauzi gave feedback on our current progress this week.

INSTRUCTIONS



After getting feedback from Mr. Fauzi, I made another change for my poster and my animation for the submission.

I color corrected my poster by using the level feature and removed the logo on my shirt by using the clone stamping tool that Mr. Fauzi suggested I use. Then after finishing my poster, I immediately proceed to After Effect to add sounds and use the final poster for it.

I added the background music and added the glitchy effect as soon as the beat dropped. I chose this music because it feels nice to hear it and it has a nice beat drop that is good for the glitchy effect.

ARTIST STATEMENT:
I made a poster where the concept is about me reflecting upon myself that I am a lazy person full of negative emotions. In the poster, I showed a glitchy effect on my face where it shows how messed up I am. Then there is me looking at the mirror while holding my other self, trying to tell myself that I can change myself. The color black and white also brings negative emotion.

As for the animation, I added glitchy effects to the whole poster. The glitchy effects represent the negative emotions that come from me in the reflection trying to take over the other me from the other side.

FEEDBACK

Mr. Fauzi said that I should put a sound on my video and suggested I color correct the layer by putting an adjustment layer just to make a filter for the whole image by using the level. He also told me to remove the logo on my shirt. He told me to use clone stamping to remove the logo on my shirt. He sent me a video on how to use the clone stamping tool in Photoshop.

REFLECTIONS

After getting feedback from Mr. Fauzi, I was able to recall the past lectures that he gave about the level feature and others. I also gained knowledge about the clone stamping tool, which I never heard about it in Photoshop. The video editing was quite simple since I was watching quite a lot of videos on how to use the Adobe After Effect so it didn't quite take a long time for me to make the changes. I was quite satisfied with my final work and I have to say that this task is quite fun for me. I gained a whole new experience on what I can do with Photoshop and After Effects. This module has been fun and I am grateful that I get to learn it.

She showed us her sketch in Photoshop and taught us about panel arrangements, camera angles, compositions and etc.  After sketching several panels we then proceed to a lecture session with Ms. Anis. For the lecture, Ms. Anis presented us with how to make comics.  To startup making comics, we need to come up with an idea. To get ideas, we can get it from our experiences. Good ideas never come from browsing google aimlessly.
