Final Project: Visual Effects Video

In the first week, we are required to watch visual effect videos, select 3 videos, and explain why being chosen. So I watched Zach King's videos on YouTube.

This visual effect is interesting and it looks very cool.

Similar to the first choice, it looks cool and quick.

I picked this video since I like to draw and I might want to try out something like this.

During week 6, I planned on making my story for my visual effects video. 

One day, a person came back to his room with a drawing tablet. He changes up his clothes and sets up his new tablet and starts to draw. He draws money and takes the money from the screen.

After getting approval from Mr. Martin, I Then proceed to the recording.

After getting feedback, I made some amendments to my video and told to add another 1 effect shot. The shot is going to be me passing through a door leaving my clothes behind. So I used my After Effects to create this effect.

For the final effect, I had to use the mask effect to make the visual effect work.

FEEDBACK

Week 14
Remove the first scene, for the coke scene make sure the screen is shown that the image is gone and reshoot the money scene because it doesn't look as good. Add another scene where the person goes through the door and left the clothes on the door.

REFLECTION

This project was really fun and I enjoyed on making it. My visual effect was not that hard for the first and the second effect. The third effect took some time to do it but it was fun. In the end I am satisfied with my final work and it turned out to be okay according to my opinion.

She showed us her sketch in Photoshop and taught us about panel arrangements, camera angles, compositions and etc.  After sketching several panels we then proceed to a lecture session with Ms. Anis. For the lecture, Ms. Anis presented us with how to make comics.  To startup making comics, we need to come up with an idea. To get ideas, we can get it from our experiences.
